Hebrew, Arabic and Farsi scripts

A script whose language is Hebrew, Arabic or Farsi reads right to left, on the prompter, in the editor and on every screen in a session. There is no separate switch: the direction follows the script's language.

  1. Check the script's language. On the prompter's Text page or in the editor, the Language row shows it. Set it to Hebrew, Arabic or Farsi if the app hasn't filled it in.
  2. Read as usual. Paragraphs run right to left. Mirroring for a rig works the same way as for any script.

Voice follow works for Hebrew and Arabic scripts where the device has Apple's on-device speech model for the language. It isn't available for Farsi. The app tells Farsi and Arabic apart by their letters when it fills in a script's language.

If that didn't work

If a right-to-left script still runs left to right, check its Language row: it may have been set to another language by hand. Write to us.
