Cutvey members: devices and the offline week
Each person on a Cutvey Solo, Pro, Studio or Enterprise plan can use the app on up to three devices at once. Signing in on a fourth signs out the one used least recently, and a signed-in device keeps working offline for up to seven days.
- Sign in on each device. On the locked screen tap Sign in with Cutvey, enter your work email, then the six-digit code we email you. If your workspace uses two-step sign-in you are asked for that code too. There is no password.
- Pick the workspace, if there are several. If your email belongs to more than one Cutvey workspace, choose the one whose plan includes the app. A row says so if a plan doesn't include it or a membership has ended.
- Stay within three devices. Your seat holds three live devices. Sign in on a fourth and the device you used least recently is signed out; nothing is refused.
- Connect at least once a week. A signed-in device checks with Cutvey about once a day while it's open. Offline, it keeps working for up to seven days, sometimes less if a trial or the plan ends sooner.
Why the app locked again
The locked screen says why, in words:
- The offline window has run out. Connect to a network and sign in again.
- The membership has ended, or the plan, or your seat, doesn't include Cutvey Teleprompter. Crew seats are not included.
- This device's access was released, from Settings, Access, on this device.
- "Cutvey Teleprompter is not available through Cutvey right now." The workspace is on hold. The app opens again by itself when the hold lifts, with no need to sign in again.
Moving your seat to another Apple Account
If your seat is already in use on a different Apple Account, the app asks "Move this seat here?" and says how many devices will be signed out. Choose Move to bring it to this account.
Settings, Access shows the workspace you are signed in to, with Sign out of Cutvey on this device, Release this activation and Manage your Cutvey account. A purchase made with Unlock Forever stays yours whatever happens to a workspace.
If that didn't work
If the sign-in code never arrives, check your spam folder and that you used the email on your Cutvey seat. Write to us.
