Help / Drive it with a remote

The Watch remote isn't responding

The Watch talks only to its paired iPhone, so the iPhone app has to be open with a script, and in front. The Watch says which step is missing.

  1. "Open Cutvey Teleprompter on your iPhone" The Watch can't reach the iPhone app. Open it and keep the phone nearby.
  2. "Open a script on iPhone" The iPhone app is open but has no script, or it's in the background. Open a script and keep the app in front: presses aren't acted on while it's in the background.
  3. "Unlock on iPhone" The iPhone app hasn't been bought or signed in yet. The Watch remote comes with it.
  4. Check the iPhone's role. The Watch drives the iPhone when it's prompting alone, hosting, or joined as a remote. It doesn't work while the iPhone is a monitor.

To drive an iPad or a Mac from the Watch, have the iPhone join that session as a remote. The Watch needs watchOS 10 or later.

If that didn't work

If it still doesn't respond, restart the app on the iPhone and the Watch, then write to us with both models. Write to us.
