Scripts aren't syncing with iCloud

Check that both devices are signed in to the same iCloud account, that Sync scripts with iCloud is on in both, and that your iCloud storage isn't full. A change that hasn't synced stays safe on the device.

  1. Check the switch. In Settings, under iCloud, Sync scripts with iCloud should be on on both devices.
  2. Read the status line. "This device is not signed in to iCloud yet" means syncing starts once it is. "Your iCloud storage is full" means new changes wait until there's room. "iCloud did not accept some changes. They are safe on this device."
  3. Check the account. Both devices need the same iCloud account.
  4. Give it a moment. Other devices pick up changes on their own, without a tap: iCloud wakes them when something changes.

If two devices changed the same script, the later edit wins and the other is kept as a new script named (recovered copy). Scripts, folders and rundowns sync; recorded takes don't. Sync uses your own private iCloud, which Cutvey can't read. For a copy you can hold, use Export All Scripts under Library.

If that didn't work

If a script is still missing, write to us with both devices and roughly when you last changed it. Write to us.
