How can we help?

Quick answers below, or send us the details; a screenshot of the screen helps, and so does knowing which devices were in the session. Support is handled by the people who built the prompter and run it on set, not a script.

Quick answers

Before you write, it may be one of these.

How do I unlock the app?

Two ways in, either is enough. Buy it once from the first screen (Unlock Forever, US$19.99), or tap Sign in with Cutvey if you are a Cutvey member. The purchase belongs to your Apple Account, covers iPhone, iPad and Mac together, and restores on any of them with Restore Purchase.

I bought it but it shows the paywall again.

Tap Restore Purchase on that screen. Make sure the device is signed into the same Apple Account the purchase was made with. If it still will not restore, send us the date of purchase and we will sort it out.

I am a Cutvey member and the sign-in says my plan does not include it.

Cutvey Teleprompter is included for members, one activation per person on up to three devices. Solo includes one person, Team five and Studio twenty. Ask your workspace owner to check the plan at app.cutvey.com, or write to us with the workspace name and we will look.

The other device cannot find the session.

Both devices have to be on the same network, or joined directly to each other, and both have to have allowed local network access when the operating system asked. Guest and captive Wi-Fi often block devices from seeing each other. A cable, or the direct device-to-device link, gets past that.

My scripts are not on my other device.

Check that both devices are signed in to the same iCloud account and that Sync scripts with iCloud is on in Settings on both. The local library is always the truth, so nothing is lost while a device catches up. You can also export the whole library to a file from Settings and import it on the other device.

Voice follow will not turn on.

It needs the microphone and speech recognition, which the app asks for the first time you turn it on. Recognition runs on the device only, so if the device cannot do it in that language the feature says so and stops rather than sending anything to a server. It is built for rehearsal and solo reads; in a noisy room, drive the scroll yourself.

The Mac is not seeing my jog wheel.

macOS will not pass a USB control surface's presses to an app until the app is allowed to monitor input. Turn on Cutvey Teleprompter under Privacy and Security, then Input Monitoring, in System Settings, and come back to the app. Nothing else in the app needs that permission.

Something looks broken.

Tell us what you expected and what happened, which device and which system version, and a screenshot of the screen. The build number is in Settings, under About Cutvey Teleprompter. We reply within one business day and tell you what we found.
